Some of the benefits that this integration provides are:
- Trigger camera presents from access events, such as door forced
- Trigger camera recordings upon events thus maximizing hard disk usage
- Embed access event data with image data on the Hard Disk Recorder
- Search images based upon event data, such as cardholder or door
- View live images (singular or matrix) on the access control software
By integrating the Access Control System and the Intruder System a common interface may be used to set / unset the intruder system whilst also providing control of employees. The potential benefits of integrating an intruder system with an access control system can be summarized as:
- Increased security
- Reduced cost
- Increased convenience
- Reduced false alarms
The individual features that have been implemented by GCS in order to achieve these objectives are:
- Occupancy monitoring
- Inhibiting access
- Alarm bypass
- Alarm setting and unsetting
In all cases, the interface between the Access and Intruder systems is simple input-to-output (relay) interconnection although software communications are the next generation of integration.

Our optical fiber network provides enviable connectivity & multi giga bit data rates & hence it is a natural choice for long haul telephony, ISPs as well as conventional broadband solutions.
- Fibre Transmission
- ISP Perspective
Fibre Transmission
Fiber optic transmission has become the preferred method of transmission for both point-to-point video and data or Ethernet over fiber. In their most basic operation both are extremely effective ways of delivering video and data from a remote surveillance location to monitoring station or stations. Both have distinct benefits and drawbacks. IP video over fiber offers the capability of redundancy, multiple location monitoring and scalability.
Besides we have recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Satcom after working out a synergy to optimally use our respective areas of core competencies in the field of OFC which is still emerging out stronger with the passage of time.
ISP Perspective :
GCS can provide optical connectivity to the local ISP's backhaul networks leveraging its Fibre Optical network's strong and impressive presence . Hence the local inter service providers can now heave a sigh of relief and quickly opt for this much more cost effective solution with a high degree of reliability and resilience.
For many years after the introduction of high speed Internet, the basic choice for consumers was between cable and DSL. However, in recent years, major telecom companies of the world have been investing in a new type of broadband Internet connection through fiber optic cables. All of the big DSL providers have begun to switch from DSL to fiber optics. Typically, you will find fiber optics in major metropolitan cities where the phone companies have had the opportunity to replace older phone line with the new fiber optic lines.
Fiber Optics - A Serious Competitor To Conventional Internet
Cable Internet companies are currently able to offer Internet plans with download speeds of up to 16 to 20 Mbps. While that is incredibily fast, FiOS is able to offer a maximum download speed of up to 50 Mbps. The average residential Internet user won't sign up for top-end plans, but prefer to get the standard plans for a much more affordable price. Also, fiber optic plans generally allow much faster upload speeds than cable Internet does.
Network Operation Center Solution
GCS provides core expertise for planning, designing, implementing and deploying NOC on turnkey basis. A network operations center is one or more locations from which control is exercised over a telecommunications network.
Large organizations may operate more than one NOC, either to manage different networks or to provide geographic redundancy in the event of one site being unavailable or offline..
NOCs are responsible for monitoring the telecommunication network for alarms or certain conditions that may require special attention to avoid impact on the network's performance. For example, in a telecommunications environment, NOCs are responsible for monitoring for power failures, communication line alarms (such as bit errors, framing errors, line coding errors, and circuits down) and other performance issues that may affect the network. NOCs analyze problems, perform troubleshooting, communicate with site technicians and other NOCs, and track problems through resolution. If necessary, NOCs escalate problems to the appropriate personnel. For severe conditions that are impossible to anticipate – such as a power failure or optical fiber cable cut – NOCs have procedures in place to immediately contact technicians to remedy the problem.

Technician in Typical NOC
NOCs are frequently laid out with several rows of desks, all facing a video wall, which typically shows details of highly significant alarms, ongoing incidents and general network performance. The back wall of the NOC is sometimes glazed; there may be a room attached to this wall which is used by members of the team responsible for dealing with serious incidents to meet whilst still able to watch events unfolding within the NOC. 9
Individual desks are generally assigned to a specific network, technology or area. A technician may have several computer monitors on their desk, with the extra monitors used for monitoring the systems or networks covered from that desk.
NOCs often escalate issues in a hierarchic manner, so if an issue is not resolved in a specific time frame, the next level is informed to speed up problem remediation. Many NOCs have multiple "tiers", which define how experienced/skilled a NOC technician is. A newly-hired NOC technician might be considered a "tier 1", whereas a technician that has been there for several years may be considered a "tier 3" or "tier 4". As such, some problems are escalated within a NOC before a site technician or other network engineer is contacted.
The term NOC is normally used when referring to telecommunications providers, although a growing number of other organizations such as public utilities (e.g., SCADA) and private companies also have such centers, both to manage their internal networks and to provide monitoring services.
The location housing a NOC may also contain many or all of the primary servers and other equipments essential to run the network, although it is not uncommon for a single NOC to monitor and control a number of geographically dispersed sites.

GCS Provides turnkey solutions of Data centre planning, design, implementation and operations.
A data center is a facility used to house computer systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and storage systems. It generally includes redundant or backup power supplies, redundant data communications connections, environmental controls (e.g., air conditioning, fire suppression) and security devices.

An operation engineer, overseeing a network operation control room of a data center.
The boom of data centers came during the dot-com bubble. Companies needed fast Internet connectivity and nonstop operation to deploy systems and establish a presence on the Internet. Installing such equipment was not viable for many smaller companies.
As of today, data center design, construction, and operation is a well-known discipline. Standard documents from accredited professional groups, such as the Telecommunications Industry Association, specify the requirements for data center design. Well-known operational metrics for data center availability can be used to evaluate the business impact of a disruption. There is still a lot of development being done in operation practice, and also in environmentally-friendly data center design. Data centers are typically very expensive to build and maintain.
